Qur'an and Stages of Revelation

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathuh,

Quran is a noble, complete, perfect, and fully detailed guidance sent for humankind. Quran is fully detailed information provider for religious law and "complete in truth and justice."

Qur'an was revealed on Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.

To discuss more in detail about the The Quran, it was revealed in two stages. Subhanallah!!!

Stage One:

The first stage was when  Quran was brought to the First heaven by Jibreel alaihi salam from Lowhe Mahfooz.

The Quran mentions the Preserved Tablet in this verse: “Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, inscribed in a Preserved Tablet”

 [Quran 85:21-22].

In an other verse ALLAH swt tells us that it was sent down during a specific night: “By the Book that makes things clear; - We sent it down during a Blessed Night: for We (ever) wish to warn (against Evil). In the (Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom.” [Quran 44:2-4]

And (which means): “We have indeed sent down this during the Night of Power.”
 [Quran 97:1].

ALLAH swt mentions about the importance of Qur'an and its sending, which is again a sign of HIS supremeity, HIS power, HIS grant providing us the very precious in'aam- the biggest blessing for us the glorious Qur'an- which is very special in its existence and  in its appointed reach,  reaching us on Lailatul Qadr. Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi Subhanallahil Adheem.

The above two verses indicate that the Quran was sent down on a single blessed night in the month of Ramadan that is called the 'Night of Power, or Decree'.
It is the blessed time, we seek out ALLAH's help with HIS remembrance. This night is special and is full of blessings as mentioned in the surah al Qadr.

Stage Two:

This stage of revelation lasted for about 23 years in which the Quran was sent down in response to the development of events and in accordance with the sequence needed for the Message.

The Prophet  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ) after receiving revelation, could retain the verses in his memory as a blessing of ALLAH swt, soon he would recite them to whoever was in his company, A group of them wrote things down for the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), including Ubayy ibn Ka’b, Zayd ibn Thaabit, ‘Ali, ‘Uthmaan, Hanzalah al-Asadi, Mu’aawiyah, and ‘Abd-Allaah ibn al-Arqam, who was his regular scribe in charge of writing.

Allah, Most High, Says (what means): “… A Quran which We have given seriatim (separated out) in order that you may recite it to the people at intervals and We have caused it to come down successively (by stages).”

 [Quran 17:106]

Subhanallah!!!

This book is an ultimate guide for us, with the essence of all the previous books brought in one with more detail, every verse is in depth, every word is magical, the presentation is magical, the truth is an eye opener, the wisdom is amazing, the guidance is pure and helping in both the worlds, it melts the hearts, its wordings take us to Success, how many a times we read Qur'an we never feel bored, It always serves us as 'a best friend '.

Also that, It acts as a Saviour on the day of Qayamah coming as an intercessor on the day of Qayamah. Subhanallah for this precious gift!!!!

Our Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said, “Every Prophet was given miracles because of which people believed, but what I have been given is Divine Inspiration which Allah has revealed to me. So I hope that my followers will outnumber the followers of the other Prophets on the Day of Resurrection.”

May ALLAH swt help us to be firm on the hidayah he has granted us through Qur'an, may we try to know more about Qur'an, its surahs, its message and get very much close to our close Friend, guide, protector, guardian and much more-our RABB- ALLAH subhanahu wa ta'aala, aameen.

Rabbana la tuzigh Quloobana ba'da idh hadaytana wa hablana milladunka rahmah innaka antal wahhab, aameen.
