Qur'an and Stages of Revelation

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathuh,

Quran is a noble, complete, perfect, and fully detailed guidance sent for humankind. Quran is fully detailed information provider for religious law and "complete in truth and justice."

Qur'an was revealed on Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.

To discuss more in detail about the The Quran, it was revealed in two stages. Subhanallah!!!

Stage One:

The first stage was when  Quran was brought to the First heaven by Jibreel alaihi salam from Lowhe Mahfooz.

The Quran mentions the Preserved Tablet in this verse: “Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, inscribed in a Preserved Tablet”

 [Quran 85:21-22].

In an other verse ALLAH swt tells us that it was sent down during a specific night: “By the Book that makes things clear; - We sent it down during a Blessed Night: for We (ever) wish to warn (against Evil). In the (Night) is made distinct every affair of wisdom.” [Quran 44:2-4]

And (which means): “We have indeed sent down this during the Night of Power.”
 [Quran 97:1].

ALLAH swt mentions about the importance of Qur'an and its sending, which is again a sign of HIS supremeity, HIS power, HIS grant providing us the very precious in'aam- the biggest blessing for us the glorious Qur'an- which is very special in its existence and  in its appointed reach,  reaching us on Lailatul Qadr. Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi Subhanallahil Adheem.

The above two verses indicate that the Quran was sent down on a single blessed night in the month of Ramadan that is called the 'Night of Power, or Decree'.
It is the blessed time, we seek out ALLAH's help with HIS remembrance. This night is special and is full of blessings as mentioned in the surah al Qadr.

Stage Two:

This stage of revelation lasted for about 23 years in which the Quran was sent down in response to the development of events and in accordance with the sequence needed for the Message.

The Prophet  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allah exalt his mention ) after receiving revelation, could retain the verses in his memory as a blessing of ALLAH swt, soon he would recite them to whoever was in his company, A group of them wrote things down for the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), including Ubayy ibn Ka’b, Zayd ibn Thaabit, ‘Ali, ‘Uthmaan, Hanzalah al-Asadi, Mu’aawiyah, and ‘Abd-Allaah ibn al-Arqam, who was his regular scribe in charge of writing.

Allah, Most High, Says (what means): “… A Quran which We have given seriatim (separated out) in order that you may recite it to the people at intervals and We have caused it to come down successively (by stages).”

 [Quran 17:106]

Subhanallah!!!

This book is an ultimate guide for us, with the essence of all the previous books brought in one with more detail, every verse is in depth, every word is magical, the presentation is magical, the truth is an eye opener, the wisdom is amazing, the guidance is pure and helping in both the worlds, it melts the hearts, its wordings take us to Success, how many a times we read Qur'an we never feel bored, It always serves us as 'a best friend '.

Also that, It acts as a Saviour on the day of Qayamah coming as an intercessor on the day of Qayamah. Subhanallah for this precious gift!!!!

Our Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said, “Every Prophet was given miracles because of which people believed, but what I have been given is Divine Inspiration which Allah has revealed to me. So I hope that my followers will outnumber the followers of the other Prophets on the Day of Resurrection.”

May ALLAH swt help us to be firm on the hidayah he has granted us through Qur'an, may we try to know more about Qur'an, its surahs, its message and get very much close to our close Friend, guide, protector, guardian and much more-our RABB- ALLAH subhanahu wa ta'aala, aameen.

Rabbana la tuzigh Quloobana ba'da idh hadaytana wa hablana milladunka rahmah innaka antal wahhab, aameen.

The Dhikr 'Laa ilaaha illallah' and it's Merits

Assalamu-Alaikum-wa-Rahamatullahi-wa-Barakaatahu,

Alhamdulillah!!!

Laa ilaaha illallah is the essence of Islam, with this declaration one enters in Islam,
It is firmly believing that Allah Subhanahu wa ta'aala is the only one power who created everything, gives life and death, and maintains the affairs of all that’s in this universe. It's believing that it is to Allah Subhanahu wa ta'aala, to whom people should devote their words and actions of worship.  Lá iláha illallah is the belief in the names and attributes of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'aala , which means affirming what Allah Subhanahu wa ta'aala has affirmed for Himself of names and attributes.

Laa ilaaha illallah, laa ilaaha illallah, laa ilaaha illallah...it is the truth.

This Kalima, this  Eman is the source of peace. This Kalima is the protocol of a muslim, every prophet was been sent with the same message, to people to call them towards the straight path.

When a person loves ALLAH Subhanahu wa ta'aala realizes his supremity, understands the purpose of his life, realizes the love of 'ALLAH Subhanahu wa ta'aala' for HIS creation, he will try to earn rewards to please ALLAH Subhanahu wa ta'aala, as it is the whole and sole purpose of life, which will make a person walk straight on ALLAH Subhanahu wa ta'aala’s commanded path which is not just peace for the soul walking on it but to spread peace around.

If every soul tries to please the Rabb in HIS ordained ways, following Qu'ran and Sunnah, we will really live up-with out getting deviated with shirk, wasting our time, corrupting beliefs, falling into errors and gaining sins gradually.

We must realize about Our life, as our existence is in itself 'a miracle' and when we turn to ALLAH Subhanahu wa ta'aala, setting ALLAH Subhanahu wa ta'aala’s love attainment as the 'mission', pleasing ALLAH subhanahu wa ta'ala with our deeds and intentions. We will have all the ways getting easy and cleared up for both the worlds( Duniya and the Aakhirah) for which we strive and dream of every second. In'shaa ALLAH.

Verily, the heavens and earth would never have remained, nor would anyone acquire safety on the Day of Gathering except by Laa ilaha illallah.

ALLAH Subhanahu wa ta'ala is the supreme.

Our prophet Muhammad Saw  said : "Whoever witnesses that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Messenger, Allah forbids the Fire from touching him."( Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim).
Subhanallah!!!

Let us always try to do this 'Dhikr', so that the god conciousness- makes us live up to HIS set ways 'to the fullest', gaining goodness and rewards and as the hadith says- Protection from fire, in'shaa ALLAH.

Successful indeed are the believers. (Surah Mu'min)

Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka anta sameeul aleem, aameen, yaa Rahman-e- Kareem.

Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing 2:127.

Qur'an is a Miracle, a guidance, full of rewards, source of peace and Success.....

Assalamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathuh,

Qur'an is "The word of ALLAH swt". It is a source of Knowledge, peace, wisdom, full of rewards and Success.

Allah SWT mentions in the Qur'an:

Say: ‘If the mankind and the jinn were together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another’” [Quran Al-Israa’ 17:88]

Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by thefear of Allah swt. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect. [Quran Al-Hashr 59:21]2

“This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqoon [the pious] [Quran Al-Baqarah 2:2]

Subhanallahi wabihamdihi subhanallahil Adheem... ALLAH's word is so powerful. Alhamdulillah.

In a Hadith 'Aisha (RA) says; ‘Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the Sweat dropping from his forehead.’ (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 2)
According to another narration; ‘The Prophet's face was red and he kept on breathing heavily for a while and then he was relieved …’ (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 4602)

This word is so special and so clear and so important for the whole mankind, as it imbibes the essentials of what one has to develop inside him/herself to understand the purpose of creation, to have the peace in the lives, to make ourself a friend of eachother, to spread peace and to set our ways right, to make ourself alert from what ALLAH swt mentions from ilm ul ghaib.

Quran is the word of Allah swt, therefore, by reading Quran, they would be directly getting exposed to the instructions of Allah Almighty which will give us firsthand knowledge of Islam to become better and practicing Muslims.

Quran has an effect on the spiritual health of a person. The reading helps us  to experience the peace and serenity. It is a means of guidance, solace, peace and serenity and a Shifa too. Subhanallah!!!

Power of Qur’an:

Narrated Abu Sa`id ﺭَﺿِﻲَ اﻟﻠﻪُ ﻋَﻨْﻪُ : Some of the Companions of the Prophet ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ went on a journey till they reached some of the Arab tribes (at night). They asked the latter to treat them as their guests but they refused. The chief of that tribe was then bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion) and they tried their best to cure him but in vain. Some of them said (to the others), “Nothing has benefited him, will you go to the people who resided here at night, it may be that some of them might possess something (as treatment).” They went to the group of the Companions (of the Prophet ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ) and said, “Our chief has been bitten by a snake (or stung by a scorpion) and we have tried everything but he has not benefited. Have you got anything (useful)?” One of them replied, “Yes, by Allâh! I can recite a Ruqya , but as you have refused to accept us as your guests, I will not recite the Ruqya for you unless you fix for us some wages for it.” They agreed to pay them a flock of sheep.

One of them then went and recited ( Surat AlFâtiha ): All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the Lord of the ` Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists). And puffed over the chief who became all right as if he was released from a chain, and got up and started walking, showing no signs of sickness. They paid them what they agreed to pay. Some of them (i.e., the Companions) then suggested to divide their earnings among themselves, but the one who performed the recitation said, “Do not divide them till we go to the Prophet ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ and narrate the whole story to him, and wait for his order.” So, they went to Allâh’s Messenger ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ and narrated the story. Allâh’s Messenger ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ asked, “How did you come to know that Surat AlFâtiha was recited as Ruqya ?’’ Then he added, “You have done the right thing. Divide (what you have earned) and assign a share for me as well.” The Prophet ﺻﻠﻰ اﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ smiled thereupon. Hiring, What is paid for Ruqya (i.e., Divine Speech recited as a means of curing diseases) with Surat AlFâtiha , when practised over an Arab tribe.Hadith No:227

The glorious word is So powerful, Subhanallah!!!

Quran acts as an intercessor on the day of judgement:

The Prophet said:
“The Qur’an is an intercessor, something given permission to intercede, and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever puts it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever puts it behind him, it will steer him to the Hellfire.” [An authentic hadith found in At-Tabaraanee, on the authority of ‘Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood]”
The following are authentic Ahadeeth regarding the benefits of certain Soorahs.
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
There is a soorah of the Quran containing thirty verses which have interceded for a man until he was forgiven. It is the soorah Tabaarak alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2891; Ahmad, 7634; Abu Dawood, 1400; Ibn Maajah, 3786. This hadeeth was classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi and by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 3/6.

Rewards of reciting Qur’an:

Whoever reads a letter from the BOOK OF ALLAH he will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that “Alif, Laam, Meem” is a letter, rather I am saying that “Alif” is a letter, “laam” is a letter and “meem” is a letter.” So increase your recitation of the Qur’an to gain these merits, and to gain the following merit as well.
In another hadeeth, ‘Aa’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, relates that the Prophet (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said:
Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

This hadith proves that people who are not well versed in the Arabic languge or have other difficulties in reciting the Quran, get even a higher reward for reciting the Quran in Arabic for their extra effort.

Subhanallah!!!!

One who gets connected to Qur'an and ponder over it's verses, ALLAH swt increases their ranks.

ALLAH swt mentions in the Qur'an:[Chapter 17. Surah Bani Israel : Ayah 106,9]

"And it is a Quran which We have revealed in portions so that you may read it to the people by slow degrees, and We have revealed it, revealing in portions."
"Surely this Quran guides to that which is most upright and gives good news to the believers who do good that they shall have a great reward."

May ALLAH swt help us and grant us this guidance, abundant rewards, peace and Success, Aameen.

Overcoming Extravagance....

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathuh,
First and foremost, We all need to review ourselves about our lifestyle whether it is according to the sunnah???
We all are believers, we know what is according to the deen and what not.
We are Alhamdulillah aware of most things, but it so happens that we forget or ignore these things when there is a need of actual implementation and one such is extravagance which is not liked by ALLAH swt.

We have the knowledge of these but it so happens that we are been dominated by few weaknesses like shopping and other things which come in the category of extravagance and it is disliked by ALLAH swt.

When we are in market places we are been made to read this supplication
Recite:

"There is none worthy of worship besides Allah. He is all by Himself. He has no partner. His is the Kingdom, to Him is all praise. He gives and takes life. He is all by Himself. He will not die. In His hands is all good and He has control (power) over all things".
It is stated in the hadith that if a person reads the above dua in the market place, Allah writes ten lakh rewards for him and forgives ten lakh sins and raises his status by ten lakh and a house is prepared for him in Jannah. (Tirmidhi, Ibn Maja)

In market places it so happens that we misuse our time, our efforts, money and we loose much( it means we are missing the purpose somewhere which is a start towards many FITNAHS that one may enter into( World and its sparks which is temporary) ).

What ever we are looking for, it must be meeting the need if we are really trying to please the Rabb. Too much of anything will take us to the world and its Trials.

Its not '1' person who is affected by this, this is the case with most of us.
Here the point is that we should fight with our weaknesses if we really want to please ALLAH swt, this will be a jihad for us, in'shaa ALLAH.

When we have accepted faith when eman has entered the heart and when we have admitted it, we have to start acting upon it and it is neccessary. So action is very important even to stop something, if not- it makes a way towards shaitan.

What we forget is- When we love ALLAH swt and move a step further, ALLAH swt comes to us running, it means ALLAH's help will be with us, he will make things easy for us and HIS help is a tremendous help and suppport he favours upon us which will be a success stone for us. But if we feel that we have a weakness and ignore it and get accustomed more and more into it then we have actually given up, we have allowed shaitan to play its game and made it successful. It means we are loosing, Which we can't afford.

World takes us far from ALLAH swt, so the sahabas would make world and it's luxuries far, so that they can be close to ALLAH swt.

Also, best way is to review our deeds - how much is that we are spending, are we spending according to our need or more than our need????
our one time spending can be a month's expense to meet the basic needs of a family.
If we remind ourselves of this, if we can get this realization practically, then we can take part in helping more which is a sifaath of a mu'min and also a way to attain abundant rewards.

If this is not possible, atleast,  we can save this money for the real needs that goes on encountering in our lives.

Extravagance is actually a lack of restraint in spending money or using resources, for example why do we need to do much shopping, so much decorations in our houses, so much in every thing??? is this really the high peak need for one. It is that We are getting more into the world with the status perspective, not with a perspective of need, we should live a simple and a easy life which Allah has adviced for us.

It's the reality - that the " Real happiness is in simplicity and living the life with contentment".

But, we actually do things to have appreciation from the world and so we have these expenses. Simplicity is the real beauty in every case.

We started creating difficulties for ourselves thinking we are easing our lives and this is where we are lacking in.

"THE REAL HAPPINESS IS IN PLEASING ALLAH swt".
Allah swt meantions in the Qur'an:

“…eat of its fruit when it bears fruit, and pay the due of it on the day of its reaping, and do not act extravagantly; surely He does not love the extravagant.” (Surah Anaam 6:141)
We Muslims are ordered to abstain from extravagancy at multiple places in Quran:

“…and do not squander wastefully, surely the squanderers are the followers of the shaitans and the Shaitan is ever ungrateful to his Lord.” (Surah Bani Israel 17:26-27)

And at an other place, words go a little more strict, exhibiting that israaf is not among the minor sins ! “…the extravagant are the inmates of the fire.” (Surah Mu'min 40:43)

Now it's upon us, what is that we want to choose, thinking of bestest things here(of this world) and engaging in extravagance, is fire a best thing to experience for ever??? Do we want to be inmates of fire???

We should do the deeds that shows Love for the sake of Allah, and not for the sake of anything else in this life which is filled with greed, desires and interests. Only the true believers will be able to stand up to this and may ALLAH swt make us strong enough to live up to this, aameen.

Let us try to overcome our weaknesses and With ALLAH's help- Lot of Adhkar and determination can make us overcome our weaknesses.
More dhikr will show us the solutions, open the doors of understanding the deen and spending on to the best( charity) and to attain the real salvation.

May ALLAH swt guide us to the best of understanding and it's implementation, Aameen.
